ASBAQ 2024: Keeping It Real in Broadbeach

Eaton Services Group (ESG) was thrilled to participate in this year's biannual ASBAQ conference, themed "Keeping it Real," held in the stunning locale of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. ASBAQ, the Queensland Chapter of the Association of School Business Administrators (ASBA), orchestrates this event to foster professional development, networking, and collaboration among school business administrators. The conference presents a unique opportunity for members to engage with like-minded community partners and gain invaluable insights to elevate their roles as school managers and leaders.

A Platform for Professional Development & Authenticity

In an era where authenticity and integrity are paramount, ASBAQ 2024 delivered an unparalleled platform for professional growth and networking. The conference was meticulously tailored to the needs of ASBAQian members, equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to uphold the highest standards in their professions. School Business Administrators had the chance to engage in exceptional professional development sessions, meet service providers (like us) aligned in simplifying facility management, and connect with peers to discuss common challenges and solutions.

ESG's Barista Cart: Caffeine & Conversations

Eaton Services Group proudly sponsored the Barista Cart at this year's conference, offering members their daily caffeine boost in a relaxed and welcoming environment. This initiative provided a fantastic opportunity for delegates to enjoy a coffee break while engaging in meaningful conversations about how we can support their commercial cleaning and facility management needs. Our team valued these interactions, discussing tailored solutions to enhance the cleanliness and efficiency of educational facilities.

Highlights from the ASBAQ Keynote Speakers

Once again, this year's conference featured an impressive lineup of keynote speakers who shared their expertise and insights on various topics relevant to school business administration:

  • Ashley Fell: A social researcher, TEDx speaker, and the Director of Advisory at McCrindle, who offered deep insights into current social trends and their implications for schools.

  • Adam Spencer: An award-winning breakfast radio host and TV presenter who brought his unique perspective and engaging storytelling to the conference.

  • Dr. Ayesha Khanna: Co-Founder and CEO of Addo, a global artificial intelligence solutions firm, discussed the future of AI in education and business administration.

  • Renowned public speakers, including Dr. Adam Fraser, Chelsea Pottenger, Martin Heppell, Rolf Moses, and Dr. Paige Williams, also graced the stage, each contributing valuable perspectives on leadership, mental well-being, and organisational efficiency.

Gratitude & Looking Ahead

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited the ESG Barista stand at ASBAQ 2024. Our CEO, Steven Tapsall, and Group Operations Manager, Teresa Robinson, enjoyed discussing our education facility cleaning services and sharing how our team remains dedicated to reliable service delivery across Australia. We are committed to #keepingitreal and continuing these important conversations.

Thank you to Mark McFie and Mark Corgat, the Conference Co-Chairs, for organising such a remarkable event. We look forward to the next ASBA conference and continuing our partnership with ASBAQ and its members.
