That’s a Wrap on the 2024 Brisbane Markets Mango Auction! 🥭

We believe in giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years, and one of the most exciting ways we’ve done this is through our ongoing sponsorship of the iconic Brisbane Markets Mango Auction.

This year’s Mango Madness event was nothing short of spectacular! A huge congratulations to John Nicolaou, who claimed his second Mango King title with a remarkable $32,000 bid, securing the first tray of the season. But it’s not just about the mangoes—this auction is about generosity, heart, and the power of giving back. Thanks to everyone’s contributions, over $44,000 was raised to support two life-changing causes: The Lady Musgrave Trust and Redkite.

Why the Mango Auction Matters

The Brisbane Markets Mango Auction is more than just a fun celebration of the start of summer—it’s a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together as a community. At ESG, we’ve been proud supporters of this event for several years, and every year, we are inspired by the incredible enthusiasm it brings. The event not only marks the beginning of mango season but also showcases the generosity of the Queensland produce industry.

This year’s proceeds will go to The Lady Musgrave Trust, which provides vital housing and support for young women in need, and Redkite, a charity that offers essential care to families navigating childhood cancer. These organisations are making an incredible difference in people’s lives, and we’re honoured to contribute to their missions.

As John Nicolaou celebrated his victory, we were reminded of how much this event means—not just to those attending but to the families and young women whose lives will be touched by the funds raised. As BML Chair Anthony Kelly said, "This event is a wonderful opportunity for the industry to give back to Queensland families who are doing it tougher than most."
